  Maurice O. Olson Posted: Tuesday, February 03, 2004 Brainerd Dispatch Maurice O. Olson, age 94, resident of Brainerd, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Olson was born in Jenkins March 27, 1909, to Ole C. and Mary (Holton) Olson. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of First Lutheran Church in Brainerd and the VFW and Elks. Survivors include daughter Lorraine (Mark) Embretson of Brainerd, son M. Dwayne (Cynthia) Olson of Brainerd; four grandchildren, Eric and Christopher Schram, both of Seattle, Karina Schram of Minnetonka, and Kristian Olson of Brainerd, brother Chester Olson of Red Bluff, Calif., many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bertha, brothers Eillert and Orville Olson, sisters Belvie Greener and Clarice Berry. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Andy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with military honors provided by Brainerd VFW No. 1647. [2]
